What makes this work special

An extension of our Seva Mandir project, we identified opportunities to increase farmer income by introducing climatically-appropriate aromatic crops, such as lemongrass and chamomile, and turning harvests into teas and oils.

We created an end-to-end supply chain within the village of Khatamla, where farmers could drop off their harvests at a distillation unit we built and tribal women would create value-added products. This created high-quality products due to the freshness of the harvest at the time of production and generated revenue for everyone in the value chain.
